Chapter 14.4 Abolition (pg. 424-426)

1. What is Abolition?

What are Abolitionists? 

2. Who is William Lloyd Garrison?

What is he best known for?

 3. Why were Fredrick Douglas & Sojourner Truth so important to the abolition movement?

Why were they such effective speakers against the use of slavery?

 4. What is the Underground Railroad?

What were stations and who were conductors?

5. Who was Harriet Tubman?

Why was she such a threat to the South?
