Today we will be working on understanding political cartoons.

In class we will each have the following think sheet:

Cartoon Principles

As different pictures are put on the board we will determine 3 separate things to help understand the purpose of each cartoons.

1. What Constitutional principle is being used in the cartoon?   Why / How

2. Please describe what is being SHOWN in this cartoon. (Please list what is important in this image. If you were to explain the image to someone who could not see, what are the key items that you would be sure to mention)

3. Please describe what is being SAID in this cartoon. (looking at what principle we selected and what images are being used, what is the deeper message)
